Aluminum sulfate (Al2(SO4)3 or Al2O12S3) is a widely used compound, the salt formed by aluminum and sulfuric acid. It is applied in large quantities for drinking water purification, as it reduces turbidity caused by dissolved compounds in water [4][5], as well as for wastewater treatment and in the paper manufacturing process.
