Lead/tin or pure lead anodes are used for wet electrolytic deposition. These can be smooth or corrugated
sheets with an anode hook, as well as wheels with an integrated hook. There are several options, for example a steel or copper core that reinforces
the anode and improves current flow; or a ring on top to facilitate handling of the anode from the bath.
Chemical symbol: Pb
Purity: the purity of lead anodes exceeds 99.7%. Only primary metals are used for the production of our alloys.
Product description: We offer a very wide range of lead anodes in various shapes: rods, tubes, laminated sheets,
plates, blocks, wires.
Usage: Lead anodes are used for lead coatings, especially in the automotive industry for bearing production. The bath
is generally based on lead-fluoroborate.
Lead is also used as a cathode for aluminum anodizing.
Lead plates are also used in the nuclear industry for radiation protection, as well as in medical radiology against X-rays. Lead is also used as ship ballast.
Chemical symbol: Pb / Sn / Sb / Ag
Purity: lead anodes used for chrome plating have a purity exceeding 99.9%. Only primary metals are used for the production of our alloys. Lead can be alloyed with antimony, tin, and silver.
Anode shapes: flat anodes – sheets corrugated on one or both sides – flat or corrugated rods – U-shaped anodes – oval and semi-oval anodes.
Product description: For chrome plating, we offer a very wide selection of anodes covering the different alloys used and the
various shapes necessary to ensure optimal cathode efficiency. Corrugation can increase the anode surface area. The copper hook
or tin-coated iron hook provides good conductivity. The cores prevent long anodes from bending.
Usage: Chrome plating mainly serves decorative and functional purposes. It is used in the steel, aerospace, automotive, valve,
and packaging industries. Chrome plating is carried out with a chromic acid solution.
Packaging: on pallets
