Ammonium chloride (NH4Cl) (also known as sal ammoniac, salmiak, or E510) is a salt of ammonia that forms highly water-soluble crystals in its pure state. Its aqueous solution has a moderately acidic pH.
Areas of application:
Ammonium chloride is used on the soldering surfaces of soldering irons and to clean the surfaces to be soldered
In foods, as an acidity regulator, it can be found in many foods under the name E510
